It is very easy to set default characteristics and categories for your client’s suppliers, simply using the supplier rules.
Find the client whose suppliers you want to edit the default attributes of in the bookkeeping view and click on their name.
Then click on the ‘Suppliers’ tab, where you should see a list of all the suppliers your client has submitted items under.
Select the supplier whose defaults you want to set, and you will be taken to a page where you can input information such as default category, tax rate, due date and payment status, amongst other things.
Fill in the information you need and hit ‘Save’; this will create a rule for your client.
